BRUNSWICK — Brunswick Downtown Association’s sixth annual Outdoor Arts Festival is scheduled to take place on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Downtown Brunswick.

A news release from organizers describes the event as follows:

More than 90 juried artists and artisans working in mediums ranging from painting to sculpture, mixed media to graphics, drawing to photography, and fine arts to fine crafts will be displaying and selling their artwork along the sidewalks of Maine Street, on the town mall and on adjacent streets.

A stage will be set up in front of the Bank of America building on Maine Street and will feature JimmyJo & the Jumbol’Ayuhs (Cajun) from 10 a.m. to noon, Sean Mencher (rockabilly) from noon to 2 p.m., and Backwoods Road Band (bluegrass/ country) from 2 to 4 p.m.

From noon to 4 p.m., David Bullard will present a number of singer/songwriters at the gazebo on the town mall.

There will also be roving musicians throughout the day, including T’Acadie, Broadband, No Banjos and Sharon Pyne.

Many activities will take place on the mall.

There will be performances from theater groups, various dance teams including Sage Square Dance Club, Studio 48 and Tony Zumba.

A wide variety of children’s events and art demonstrations, such as woodworking, basket weaving, spoon carving, face painting, hula hooping, henna tattoos, jewelry making, a transparent painting wall will be available on the mall as well.
