Freeport girls basketball holding golf scramble
A golf scramble to benefit Freeport High School girls basketball will be held Sunday, Sept. 16, at Toddy Brook Golf Course in North Yarmouth. The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 23.
A limited number of foursome slots are available. The event will be a shotgun start at 9 a.m. There will be food, as well as contests and prizes. The cost to enter is $75 per person, $300 per foursome.

The boys grades 5/6 lacrosse team for the Regional School Unit 5 Recreation & Community Education programs included volunteer coach Dayton Benway, one of the many volunteers who helps out with the youth lacrosse and Harraseeket Harriers cross country programs. Other coaches and volunteers included for the spring/summer season included: Kim Davidson (5/6 girls lacrosse), Jeff Cloutier (3/4 girls lacrosse), Harriet Otis (Harriers volunteer), Kim Murray (5/6 girls lacrosse), Melissa Christensen (Harriers coach), Sarah Doran (Harriers volunteer), Neil Battarbee (5/6 girls lacrosse), Erika Hemphill (Harriers coach), Adrian Cole (Harriers volunteer), Rhonda Prime (Harrier coach), Rebecca Porter (Harriers volunteer), Christine Ramsay (3/4 boys lacrosse), and Valerie Young (Harriers coach).
