CHICAGO – Pinch-hitter A.J. Pierzynski tied a White Sox record by homering in his fifth consecutive game, a go-ahead, two-run drive in the seventh inning off Jason Isringhausen that led Chicago over the Los Angeles Angels 4-2 Sunday.
With the Angels ahead 2-1, Isringhausen (3-2) relieved Dan Haren and allowed a leadoff single to Dayan Viciedo. Pierzynski hit for Tyler Flowers and hit a drive just out of the reach of Mike Trout in right-center field for his career-high 21st homer.
YANKEES 6, MARINERS 2: Raul Ibanez homered and drove in three runs as Freddy Garcia (5-5) led New York to only its sixth win in 16 games.
ROYALS 7, RANGERS 6: Errors by Alberto Gonzalez and Mike Olt in a three-pitch span allowed the tiebreaking run to score in the 10th inning at Kansas City.
TIGERS 10, INDIANS 8: Miguel Cabrera’s two-run homer capped a stunning five-run rally with two outs in the bottom of the 10th at Detroit as Cleveland lost its ninth straight.
ORIOLES 1, RAYS 0: Taylor Teagarden broke his slump with an RBI double in the 10th inning and Miguel Gonzalez threw seven scoreless innings at St. Petersburg, Fla.
Baltimore has won 10 consecutive one-run games and 11 straight extra-inning contests.
BLUE JAYS 6, A’s 5: Edwin Encarnacion hit a home run and had two RBI while Yunel Escobar also drove in two to salvage a series split at Oakland.

NATIONALS 4, MARLINS 1: Stephen Strasburg pitched three-hit ball over six shutout innings, and helped himself with two RBI at Washington.
Strasburg (12-5) struck out six, and his two-run single in the second raised his batting average to .343 (12 for 35) with seven runs batted in.
GIANTS 8, ROCKIES 3: Tim Lincecum (6-11) won consecutive starts for the first time since April and Hunter Pence had three RBI for a three-game sweep at Denver.
PADRES 7, METS 3: Chase Headley and Yonder Alonso hit two-run homers as San Diego hammered rookie Matt Harvey (1-2) at San Diego.
PHILLIES 5, DIAMONDBACKS 4: Slumping slugger Ryan Howard singled home the winning run with the bases loaded in the ninth at Philadelphia.
In his previous 35 at-bats, Howard had just five hits and 20 strikeouts.
PIRATES 6, REDS 2: A.J. Burnett (14-3) remained undefeated against Cincinnati this season and Starling Marte hit a tiebreaking two-run triple to help Pittsburgh salvage the finale of a three-game series at Cincinnati.
BRAVES 6, ASTROS 1: Chipper Jones had two hits and scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in his final game against Houston as Atlanta finished an 8-2 homestand.

WHITE SOX: Starter John Danks will have season-ending left shoulder surgery on Monday in Chicago.
NATIONALS: After striking out swinging against the Marlins, Bryce Harper slammed his bat on the plate, breaking it in half. Miami catcher John Buck said Harper apologized during his next at-bat.
“I told him, ‘Don’t worry about it. I did the same thing when I was your age. It was a metal bat, and I was in high school,’ ” Buck said.
