BRUNSWICK
A Brunswick man who crashed his motorcycle on River Road on Thursday afternoon was transported to Maine Medical Center in Portland where he was listed in fair condition this morning, according to a hospital representative.
According to a press release issued by Brunswick Police Department, Stephen Collins Jr., 62, of 11 Rocky Hill Road, was driving north on River Road when he lost control of his motorcycle, left the roadway and struck a ledge wall. He was transported to Maine Medical Center by Brunswick Rescue.
Brunswick police Capt. Mark Waltz said this morning that no one else was injured in the crash, which happened near an “S” turn along the road. Traffic on River Road was reduced to one lane for about an hour.
Police report Collins was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, led by patrol officer Justin Dolci.
