A major road connecting Saco and Old Orchard Beach is closed while crews fix a water main break.
Saco Police Sgt. Chris Hardiman said a section of Old Orchard Street near the Saco-Old Orchard Beach line has been closed since the break was reported at 2:40 p.m. He expects the road will remain closed at least through this evening.
The break occured just east of the Biddeford-Saco Country Club.
“It’s going to be a traffic problem for the next several hours,” Hardiman said.
