SOUTH PORTLAND — Sam Stauber drove in two runs to lead top-seeded Saco-Biddeford Savings-Westbrook (16-5) to a 6-2 win over third-seeded Cumberland (14-7) in the championship game of the American Legion Zone 4 tournament Tuesday.
Zack Bean added two hits and scored three runs. Starter Ethan Nash earned his fifth win and reliever Sean Murphy struck out five in the final 1 2/3 innings.
Westbrook advances to the state tournament, which begins Saturday at Old Orchard Beach. Cumberland will play Thursday against the winner of today’s Andrews-First Title game for a tournament bid.
JUNIOR LEGION
BRUNSWICK 1, SMITH-TOBEY 0: Jason Carter struck out 10 in a three-hitter and John Parker hit an RBI single to lift Brunswick over Smith-Tobey at Bath.
Smith-Tobey’s Eddy Stewart struck out five in a four-hitter.
STANDISH 8, MASSABESIC 0: Nick York struck out 12 and walked one in a two-hitter as Standish Post 128 (8-8) blanked Massabesic (6-10) at Standish.
Max Salevsky had two hits, scored three runs and drove in two for Standish.
GRAY-NG 10, CHASE CUSTOM HOMES 7: Thomas Wood had three hits and scored three runs as Gray-New Gloucester (8-6) defeated visiting Chase Custom Homes (8-8).
LITTLE LEAGUE 11-12
DIRIGO 11, WALDO COUNTY 10: Dakota Stoops hit a grand slam and Jake Hendsbee added a two-run homer in a seven-run first inning for Dirigo (3-1), which held off Waldo County (3-2) in an elimination game of the state tournament at Bar Harbor.
Dirigo will face undefeated Scarborough in the championship round at 4 p.m. today.

BAY SOX 10, MAINERS 8: Alex Baldock had three RBI on four hits to lead New Bedford (23-14) at Sanford (12-20).
Ino Patron had four hits and two RBI for the Mainers. Paul Kronenfeld also drove in two.
FCBL
TITANS SWEEP RAGING TIDE: Matthew Consiglio had two RBI to lead Torrington (22-16) to a 4-2 win over Old Orchard Beach (16-22) in game one, and the Titans used a six-run fifth inning to take game two 7-2 at Torrington, Conn.
Dan Fratus had two RBI and Matt Verrier had four hits on the day for Old Orchard Beach.
