BATH — Jeanette York Burton of Bath died peacefully Friday the 13th at Golden Acres. She was born in Cundy’s Harbor Maine July 10th 1929, daughter of Dana W. York and Bertha Toothaker York. She grew up in Bath and attended Morse High School, graduating the youngest in her class at the age of 16 in the year 1945. Jeanette worked at Shaw’s bookstore as a young girl, and then went to work as a secretary for Roger Skillin and then becoming an office manager for Real Estate Agent Ada Y. Greenblatt.
Jeanette enjoyed summer and spending time at Popham Beach, and being with her friends and family. She is survived by her daughters Heather and her husband Lincoln Ravenscroft of Blue, Hill Maine, Lasca and Bradley Hewes of Woolwich Maine, and granddaughter Jade and her husband Chip Drake and great grandson Bradley Drake of Woolwich Maine.
Jeanette will be greatly missed by her family. A celebration of her life will be held at the home of Lasca Hewes of 12 Island drive, Woolwich Maine at 1:00 PM Saturday July 28th with a grave side service immediately following at Oak Grove Cemetery in Bath.
