BATH — Chris Barstow has been appointed general manager of the Holiday Inn Bath, according to a news release.
The 141-room Holiday Inn is located off of Route 1 in Bath on Richardson Street. The hotel property features the Bounty Restaurant and Taverne, an outdoor pool and a fitness facility.
The property has served the Bath-Brunswick area for more than 40 years, and is one of the original hotels owned by Thomas T. Walsh Inc. and Ocean Properties. Ocean Properties is one of the largest privately held hotel management and development companies in North America. The company possesses a portfolio of more than 100 hotels and 17,000 guest rooms in North America.
Barstow most recently worked as rooms division manager for the Samoset Resort in Rockport. He has worked for the Inn by the Sea, Bar Harbor Regency and the former Holiday Inn Portland West. He also served six years as state representative for his hometown of Gorham in the Maine Legislature.
