KENNEBUNK — Nick Emmons and Ned Richards hit two-run doubles in the fifth inning Tuesday, and Kennebunk went on to a 4-2 victory against Saco and Biddeford Savings in an American Legion baseball game.
Tom Snow pitched a four-hitter for Kennebunk (8-5) while holding SBS (9-4) to single runs in the second and third.
Richards finished with three hits, including two doubles. Logan Bement had a single and double for Kennebunk, and Taylor Reuillard a pair of doubles for SBS.
MASSABESIC 10, MARSHWOOD 0: Casey Nava drove in three runs with a double in the fifth inning to help Massabesic (9-4) defeat Marshwood (4-9) at Waterboro.
Hunter Sunca pitched a five-hit shutout for Massabesic. He struck out five and walked one.
FALMOUTH 15, BRISTOL SEAFOOD 3: Grayson Beressi delivered a two-run double in the fourth inning and Falmouth (8-3) went on to defeat Bristol Seafood (0-10) in five innings at Portland.
Connor MacDowell led Falmouth with four RBI on a pair of singles. Ryan Conley, the winning pitcher, struck out four and gave up four hits.
ANDREWS POST 5, YARMOUTH 4: Adam Berg hit a two-out single to left-center in the eighth inning to score Marcus Caliendo with the winning run as Andrews Post (5-5) edged Yarmouth (6-7) at Portland.
Caleb Fraser of Andrews relieved to start the sixth and retired all nine batters he faced.
CUMBERLAND 7, MORRILL POST 4: Bailey Train singled home Jimmy Whittaker with the go-ahead run as Cumberland (8-4) scored twice in the fifth inning to take a 5-4 lead over Morrill Post (7-5) at Cumberland.
Matt Ames had come home on a wild pitch to tie the game. Ben Shain and Michael McDevitt had two RBI for Cumberland.
FIRST TITLE 9, MOODY’S 3: Nick Lops’ bases-loaded triple highlighted a seven-run second inning for First Title (8-5) against Moody’s (6-7) atGorham.
Harry Ridge added an RBI double in the second.
BONANZA 4, NOBLE 2: Ethan Gouin drove home two runs on two hits, and Ryan Camire drove in a with three hits to lead Bonanza at Sanford.
Tyler Flayhan added a double, a single and an RBI for Bonanza. David Arlin singled home both Noble runs.
SACO & BIDDEFORD SAVINGS 5 LIBBY-MITCHELL 2: Derek Bouchard’s two-run single in the fifth inning was decisive as Saco & Biddeford Savings (9-3), from Westbrook, stretched a 2-1 lead to 4-1 against Libby-Mitchell (4-9) at Scarborough.
Zack Bean pitched a complete game for SBS, striking out six, allowing single runs in the first and seventh.
MECHANIC FALLS 12, AN-DY VALLEY 3: Kurt Johnson had four of the 12 hits for Mechanic Falls (5-9) against Andy Valley (2-12) at Poland.
Andrew Berg and Jed Quint added two hits apiece for Mechanic Falls. Adam Valentino, Tyler Hutchinson and Drew Gosselin each had two of Andy Valley’s eight hits.
JUNIOR LEGION
LIBBY-MITCHELL 7, FALMOUTH 2: Brendan Kane had an RBI single and also scored during a three-run second inning that gave visiting Libby-Mitchell (7-3) a 4-0 lead against Falmouth (3-6).
Kane also scored in the first and again during a three-run third.
FAYETTE-STAPLES 9, STANDISH POST 8: Mitchell Jacques singled home C.J. Michaud in the eighth inning as Fayette-Staples (1-10) earned an extra-inning victory at Saco.
Michaud hit a one-out single, went to second on an error and to third on Taylor Cooper’s single before scoring on Jacques’ game-ending hit.
CUMBERLAND 15, WINDHAM 2: Calvin Soule drove in two runs with a single to spur a nine-run fifth inning that help visiting Cumberland (7-3) finish its game against Windham (4-9).
Soule finished with three hits. Hal Batson picked up his first win, giving up three hits and striking out four.
BRUNO’S 6, SOUTH PORTLAND 2: Domenic Fagone hit a two-run double in a four-run seventh inning as visiting Bruno’s (11-1) broke a tie against South Portland (4-3).
Henry Curran of South Portland out 11 through six innings and Bruno’s starter Bobby Lajoie-Eames fanned 11 in five.
TRI-TOWN 6, OA-YARMOUTH 5: Tanner Marston had three hits, and Kaleb Bridgham and Sam Bridgham added two each to lead visiting Tri-Town (8-1) past OA-Yarmouth (7-5.
Michael Smith had two hits for OA-Yarmouth.
BIDDEFORD SAVINGS 10, MASSABESIC EAGLES 7: Kerry Crepeau scored on a wild pitch, and Nick Conley singled home Casey Twomey and Tyler Bellerose as Biddeford Savings (7-3) broke a 7-7 tie with a three- run sixth inning against Massabesic Eagles (3-6) at Biddeford.
Sean Adams tied the game with a two-run homer in the top of the sixth.
