Mary Landry celebrates 70th

Mary Nugent Landry was a recent guest of honor at a party celebrating her 70th birthday held at her childhood home in White Rock.

The party was given to her by her daughters, Heather Barbour and Colleen Norberg, and her brother, Joe Nugent.

Mary was born July 12, 1942, the daughter of Arthur (Peachy) and Nina Nugent of Gorham. She said her birthday celebration featured an array of food, along with a red velvet birthday cake, and she received many gifts.

Susan Denyer of Gorham has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Maine at Machias.

Christian Malarsie, a member of the class of 2015 at Assumption College in Worcester, Mass., is on the dean’s list for the spring semester.

Stephanie Morin, a sophomore public relations and history major, was named to the dean’s list at Huntington University in Huntington, Ind.
