PORTLAND (AP) — The chief economist for the Maine Heritage Policy Center has been tapped to lead the organization.

Scott Moody is being promoted to CEO after the departure of Lance Dutson, who’ll serve as campaign manager for Charlie Summers, a Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate.

Dutson has described the policy center as the “heart and soul of the conservative movement in Maine.”
