Lost item – A Shore Road resident delivered to the police department a light green kayak that “had washed ashore.”
Theft – A Sawyer Road resident reported the theft of a lawn ornament, described as a light green turtle figure holding a “SLOW” flag.
Friday, June 15
Theft – A 12-speed, black and gray Trek 7500 bicycle was reported stolen from a garage on Cross Hill Road.
Road rage – Patrolman Difflin and Sgt. Steindl were dispatched to intercept a possibly intoxicated driver on Ocean House Road. The car was being followed by the person who called in the tip. Both vehicles were pulled over and the occupants interviewed. After conducting field sobriety tests, Sgt. Steindl reported, “it appeared to be a road rage incident.” No summonses were issued.
Saturday, June 16
Theft – A Shore Road resident reported the theft of a black Trek cross-hybrid bicycle from a garage on the property. In his report, Patrolman Difflin noted that another bicycle was not stolen. That one had a flat tire.
