WOOLWICH — Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Robert Jerdan, a 1995 graduate of Chop Point High School, was recently named Senior Sailor of the Quarter, second quarter 2012, while assigned to Ney Hall galley, food service division, Naval Station Newport, R.I.
As mess decks master-atarms, he was responsible for supervising two military personnel and 60 civilian personnel in the setup and breakdown of the dining room area.
He managed monthly financial transactions of $30,000 with no discrepancies.
