WESTBROOK – The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested two Bridgton Road residents on charges of unlawful trafficking in crack cocaine on June 20.
Agent Steven Goldberg of the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency said that Lyndsay Reid, 26 and Cory Reid, 27, both of 1082 Bridgton Road in Westbrook were arrested at the residence after a search in connection with an incident in Falmouth earlier in the day. Lyndsay Reid was also charged with violating bail conditions, as she had been arrested on June 23 in Portland on a charge of possession of crack cocaine.
Police from Falmouth, Westbrook, Portland and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department emergency services unit arrived at the residence with a search warrant as a part of an investigation of an incident on Route 1 in Falmouth where shots were fired at a house. Goldberg said the Falmouth investigation was still ongoing and no charges have been filed in connection with the incident.
Goldberg said that a search of the house uncovered 7.6 grams of what police suspected was crack cocaine, leading to the arrests.
Falmouth police did not return messages seeking an explanation between the incident in Falmouth and the residence on Bridgton Road in Westbrook.
