PORTLAND — Verrill Dana recently welcomed Colin Hay, Mathew Todaro and Joanna Taatjes as summer associates, according to a news release.
The summer program is designed to provide an opportunity for second-year law students to experience the law practice of a typical associate at the firm. The three associates will rotate through several departments and practice groups over the course of the summer.
Hay will begin his third year in the fall at Boston University School of Law. He received his undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College.
Todaro will begin his third year in the fall at Boston College Law School. He received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown Washington University.
Taatjes will begin her third year in the fall at the University of Connecticut School of Law. She received her undergraduate degree from Bowdoin College.
“Since most of our associates are drawn from the summer program, it is at the heart of our recruiting efforts,” said Kelly Boden, of the firm’s Hiring Committee. “Verrill Dana remains committed to the benefits of this program, which anticipates our long-term hiring needs. We look forward to working with Colin, Mat and Joanna this summer.”
