MECHANIC FALLS (AP) — Police have charged a Mechanic Falls man they say threatened to harm his girlfriend and prompted a 90- minute standoff with officers.
Police say 21-year-old Devin Stevens is scheduled to make his first appearance in Lewiston District Court on July 11.
Chief Jeff Goss tells the Sun Journal that Stevens was armed with a gun and threatened to kill his girlfriend at his home late Sunday night before he as subdued by officers using a stun gun just after midnight Monday. No one else was hurt.
