BATH
A Bath man was taken to a Portland hospital after crashing a motorcycle on High Street at around 6:44 p.m. Sunday.
Bath Police Lt. Stan Cielinski said that 54-year-old Paul Buonadonna, riding a 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle on High Street, hit a patch of dirt in front of Fairview Lane, lost control and flew from the bike.
He ended up in a ditch lined with softball-sized crushed rock. Buonadonna was not wearing a helmet, Cielinski said.
A Bath Rescue ambulance transported Buonadonna to Maine Medical Center in Portland for treatment of injuries to his head and face. A hospital spokesperson said shortly before noon Monday that Buonadonna is in fair condition.
Police do not plan to file charges as a result of the crash.

We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
