ANDREW STEINBEISER of Harpswell, a graduating communication and rhetorical studies major from Syracuse University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts, was recognized at the May convocation for receiving the Mary Elizabeth Earle Prize for an outstanding undergraduate student in communication and rhetorical studies.

Pohl of Augusta, graduated cum laude with honors in English from Bates College in Lewiston on May 27, 2012. She also earned a place on the spring 2012 semester dean’s list.
SAMUEL JOHNSON was named to the spring 2012 semester dean’s list at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. He is the son of Eric and Mary Johnson of Brunswick.
