FREEPORT — The University of Maine Cooperative Extension, in partnership with the Center for Courage and Renewal, will offer a oneday workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. June 22.
“The interactive session is for Maine K-16 teachers and school leaders interested in strengthening their school communities through shared leadership and thoughtful action,” a release states. “The gathering will explore approaches for personal, professional and school renewal built upon the work of Parker J. Palmer, author of ‘The Courage to Teach and Healing the Heart of Democracy.’”
The workshop will take place at the Merriconeag Waldorf School Community Hall, 57 Desert Road.
Registration costs $150 per person and includes lunch, handouts and refreshments. For teams of three or more, the fee is $75 per person. The University of Maine will offer 0.7 continuing education units.
