BOWDOINHAM
A Bowdoinham man crashed his car along Millay Road while on the way to work Monday night, according to the Sagadahoc County Sheriff ’s Department.
The crash was reported at 8:47 p.m. Monday. Chief Deputy Brett Strout said Joseph Cobb, 24, of 710 Millay Road, was traveling south on Millay Road “at a high rate of speed, failed to negotiate a turn and struck a tree.”
The impact totaled the 2004 Ford Taurus he was driving. Cobb was injured and taken to Mid Coast Hospital in Brunswick, where he was treated and released according to a hospital spokesperson. He received a summons for imprudent speed and failure to register his vehicle, which had expired between 30 and 150 days. Cobb was reportedly late for work.
Cpl. Ian Alexander responded to the crash, along with Bowdoinham Fire and EMS. An ambulance from North East Mobile Health Services took Cobb to the hospital.
