Antique appraisals

The Dorcas Society of Hollis and Buxton is sponsoring an antique road show with local appraiser Frank Wood 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, in the Bar Mills Parish House, Route 4, Bar Mills.

Those attending are asked to take treasures and learn of their history, use and value. Cost is $10 for two items and, if time permits, additional items are $5 each.

Refreshments will be available.

Program rescheduled

In remembrance of Caroline Nichols, the meeting of the Buxton Hollis Historical Society, “A Virtual Tour of Painted Theater Curtains in Maine,” scheduled for June 12 at the Saco River Theater on Salmon Falls Road, is being rescheduled to a date to be announced.

Ruby on dean’s list

Joshua Ruby of Buxton has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at Norwich University in Northfield, Vt.
