POWNAL — An opening reception for “Steel and Stone,” sculptures by Roy Patterson and Stephen Porter, will run from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Hawk Ridge Farm, 90 Minot Road.
The exhibit runs through July 29.
“Steve Porter designs and constructs precise abstract forms in stainless steel as well as granite,” according to June LaCombe of Hawk Ridge Farm. “His sculptures have an elegant timeless quality as they animate their setting.”
“Roy Patterson works in granite, marble and basalt and explores abstracted figurative forms that have an ancient resonance,” the release states. “Both interior and exterior work will be shown in the country home and gardens at Hawk Ridge Farm.”

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
