BRUNSWICK — First Parish Church, UCC, will hold its annual clothing and linen sale on June 8 from 4-7 p.m. and June 9 from 9 a.m. to noon.
This sale has been an annual event in Brunswick for the past 25 years. Parishioners and friends of First Parish begin their spring-cleaning in their overcrowded closets and donate their items for resale. This has become known as a way of recycling and passing on unused or gently used items for others to enjoy.
Donations of good, clean clothing and linens (curtain, bedspreads, quilts, tablecloths, etc.) will be accepted beginning on Monday and will continue through Thursday. Volunteers sort and display items on tables and racks for easy shopping as in a department store.
The goal is to reach out to others in the community through affordable prices and sale coupons. “Most items are in wonderful, clean condition and are priced between $1 and $2,” states a release from the church.
For more information about the sale coupons, stop by the church office at 9 Cleaveland St., or call 729- 7331. Bring a copy of this article for one free item.
The sale will be held in the upstairs fellowship hall of First Parish’s Pilgrim House on 9 Cleaveland St.
