BATH — Sharon Drake Real Estate defeated Smith- Tobey Post, 8-3 in recent Bath Cal Ripken Baseball Major Division action.
Austin Magliozzi pitched the entire game for Sharon Drake, striking out 14 while walking one. Tyriek Foster went the distance for Smith-Tobey, registering nine strikeouts and seven walks.
Andre Douglas led the winner’s offense with three singles. Lucas Osterhout and Everett Bates each had a pair of singles, while Jordan Douglas, Bradley Drake, Anthony Spencer and Dylan Haycock each singled.
Jeff Leighton had two singles for Smith-Tobey. Chase Smith rapped a triple and Jacob True a double, while Foster and Tyler Scorfina both singled.
Cahill’s Tire 16-7
Cahill’s Tire faced Montsweag Roadhouse for a second time in recent Bath Cal Ripken action and came away with another victory, 16-7.
Brogan Shaw, Robin Krull, Karl Shumaker and Nicco Bartone pitched for Cahill’s, striking out 10, while allowing only one hit. Shaw, Bartone, Shumaker and Brenton Cahill each singled for Cahill’s.
Taylor Scheibner, Dylan Melvin and Seth Stachmus pitched for Montsweag and struck out five. Cory Klein broke up a no-hitter with a single.
Two more for Cahill’s
Cahill’s Tire also picked up two other victories.
Against Radar’s of Wiscasset, Ethan Upham, Krull and Bartone combined on seven strikeouts, and Cahill and Shaw each had two hits in Cahill’s 12-10 victory.
Adam Sirois, Matthew Eckert and John Pray each singled for Radar’s.
In a 15-6 victory over Montsweag Roadhouse, Bartone singled and doubled, Shaw had a pair of singles and Shumaker chipped in with a single for Cahill’s.
On the mound, Shumaker, Cahill, Upham and Bartone combined for nine strikeouts.
For Montsweag, Zack Lay, Kyle Fredericks, Gavin Hanna and Jack Leonard combined on seven strikeouts, while Cameron Footer, Cory Klein and Deja Douglas supplied the offense with a single each.
BMDA 6-5
BMDA rallied with five runs in the sixth inning to pull out a 6-5 victory over Lisbon recently.
Isaiah Cogswell earned the mound win with 10 strikeouts.
Davis Newall doubled to tie the game in the sixth, and Connor Bennoch followed with a walk-off single to win it for BMDA.
Plant Home, 11-1
The Plant Home defeated Wilson’s Drug Store, 11-1 on Thursday.
The pitching trio of Jackson Walker, Thomas Warren and Josiah Yeaton combined for a no-hitter.
Walker fanned five in two innings, Warren six in two innings, and Yeaton closed the door in the final frame, striking out three.
The pitching was supported by an offense that scored in each of the five innings, and exploded for five runs in the fourth to open things up.
For the Plant Home, Logan Pelletier led the way with two singles and Yeaton, Warren, Isaak Flaming, Joey Cholish and Max Brochu each singled.
For Wilson’s, Sam Sinabaldi struck out seven in four innings of work, and Kenny Bassett was a defensive standout behind the plate.
