Wiscasset High School held its high school prom on Saturday night, May 26, at the Kennebec Tavern in Bath. And for at least two couples, the special night included a “patriotic” mode of travel. Garret Lear, a student lobsterman and owner of the lobsterboat “Patriot,” transported his date, Suzanne Grover, left, as well as Lyric Dalton and Jake Gagnon, at right, to the dance. The tavern’s proximity to the Kennebec River allowed for easy access by lobsterboat. (Courtesy of Pam Lear)
