LEBANON — A Lebanon man sufferd “serious injuries” after his 1995 Chevrolet Tahoe left Champion Street and hit a tree head-on Tuesday night.

Lebanon’s Assistant Rescue Chief Jason Cole said the accident took place just after 5 p.m.

The man, whose name is not available, is in his 50s. He was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, N.H. with non life threatening injuries.

Cole said the operator was not wearing a seatbelt. The Tahoe’s airbags did deploy.

Champion Street had to be closed to one lane of  traffic for more than an hour.
