DAMARISCOTTA — The Animal House recently announced an upcoming event: “The Fur Ball — An Evening to Benefit the Lincoln County Animal Shelter.”
According to a news release, it is scheduled for June 16, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Darrow’s Barn at Round- Top Farm on Business Route 1 in Damariscotta.
“The Fur Ball” will feature the Mr. and Mrs. Maine Dog Pageant, with categories in evening wear and swimwear. The pageant is open to all breeds, and is limited to 12 participants, which need to be pre-registered through The Animal House. Prizes will be offered for the winner.
The evening also includes a live auction. Auction items include a week’s stay in Cabo San Lucas, a private session with a dog behaviorist, pet food and supplies, a Pea Pawd necklace by PeaPod Jewelry, an original design from Stone Circle Design at The Creative Turtle, and more.
The food is being catered by King Eider’s Pub.
Tickets are $25 per person or $40 per couple and available for purchase at The Animal House, the Lincoln County Animal Shelter and King Eider’s Pub and at the door.
