
Leigh was born March 7, 1957 in Bath. Leigh was the son of the late James Francis and Ann Palmer Feeney. Leigh was raised in Brunswick and graduated from Brunswick High School with the Class of 1976.
Leigh was employed by Bath Iron Works for over 25 years. It was here that wonderful friendships and memories were formed. In 1983, Leigh married Jeanna Chalout whom he was married to for over 20 years.
In 2010, Leigh married Jane Coffin. Leigh and Jane went to Brunswick High School together and then reconnected again at the American Legion in Topsham.
They were both active members of the Legion.
Leigh enjoyed a life long passion for the outdoors. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting, snowmobiling, boating, and playing golf. He also enjoyed gardening and had a fond love for all animals.
Survivors include his wife Jane Coffin Feeney, his sister Kimberly Basquez, his nephews Benjamin Basquez, Robert Basquez and his niece Sarah Basquez; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
There will be a celebration of Leigh’s life held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the American Legion of Topsham. Should friends and family desire, memorial contributions may be made to the Coastal Humane Society, Grange Road, Brunswick, Maine 04011.
