LISBON — The Androscoggin Sagadahoc Counties Extension Association (ASCEA) will host a plant sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 26 at the University of Maine Cooperative Extension Office, 24 Main St.
Most of the plants and other goods offered for sale have been donated by participants in the local UMaine Extension Master Gardener Volunteers program. Proceeds will be used to help support operations of the county office, which offers programming in agriculture, horticulture, 4-H youth development, nutrition education and much more.
Plants available for purchase will include vegetables, herbs, shrubs, and flowers. Several Master Gardener volunteers will be on hand to assist.
Those searching for a specific plant can email requests to asceasale@yahoo.com.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
