PORTLAND — Did you know that the U.S. government is the world’s largest buyer of products and services? And, the federal government is mandated to contract with small businesses?
EMDC’s Maine Procurement Technical Assistance Program can help you establish your business as a potential contractor with the federal government.
Eastern Maine Development Corp., in collaboration with GPCOG, will host a workshop for businesses interested in learning more about how to do business with the federal government.
The free workshop, “Doing Business with the Federal Government: How to Conduct Federal Market and Competitive Research,” will be held on May 24, from 10 a.m. to noon, at GPCOG, 68 Marginal Way, on the fourth floor of the AAA Building.
To register, contact Karen Patterson at EMDC at (207) 942- 6389 or kpatterson@emdc.org. Advanced registration is required.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
