BRUNSWICK — Dakota Foster grabbed eight of her team’s 18 draw controls to set the tone as the Brunswick High School girls lacrosse team picked up a 15-6 victory over rival Morse on Tuesday.
The undefeated Dragons (7-0), who visit Camden Hills today at 4 p.m., raced out to an 8-1 lead 10 minutes into the game.
Morse goaltender Crystal Leavitt did her best to keep the 2-6 Shipbuilders in it, turning aside 11 shots, holding Brunswick to two goals over the remaining 15 minutes of the first half.
Foster had six goals and two assists to lead the Brunswick offense. Suzannah Smith dished out three helpers, gained control of three draw controls and scored twice, while Annie Kelly chipped in two goals and one assist, Caroline Wild and Corinne O’Connor one goal each, Courtney Roderick one goal and one assist, and Lillian Kjellman and Grace Rabinowitz one goal apiece.
Brunswick goalkeeper Molly Herman had seven stops, made three interceptions and scooped up three groundballs.
Lauren Crosby had two goals and one assist to pace Morse, which is slated to host Cony on Thursday (4 p.m.). Christina Stuart, Sadie Crosby, Sophie Sreden and Monica Frempong added one goal each.

The Eagles hit the road to Augusta, falling in an Eastern Maine Class A showdown against 6-1 Cony.
Bayleigh Logan, Mia Diplock and Chelsea Begin each scored three goals for the Rams, while Haley Hanks chipped in a goal.
Mt. Ararat, 5-3 and slated to host Gardiner on Thursday at 6:30 p.m., received three goals from Rowley Jones and two each from Haley Michaud and Sara Berry, while Zoe Bradshaw and Cat Johnson picked up a goal apiece.

In Class A action on Monday, Winston Sullivan scored four goals and assisted on eight others to lead the 8-0 Dragons, who are scheduled to visit Mt. Ararat tonight.
Seth Holmblad chipped in with four goals, Cameron Glover and Bailey Caparratto three each, Alex Croatti two and Lucas McCue one. Sam Fortin also helped with two assists.
Theron Wilgus made five saves and Chris Mrvichin four for Brunswick, which led 6-0, 10-0 and 14-0 at the breaks.
