South Portland Land Trust Annual Plant and Bake Sale, at the American Legion Hall at 413 Broadway in South Portland. The SPLT plant sale is a perennial favorite of the gardening community – an amazing variety of annuals, perennials, vegetables, herbs, wildflowers, groundcovers, etc. will be available for sale, as well as baked goods and coffee. The sale will open to land trust members at 8 a.m. and to the general public at 9 a.m. Individuals or families are welcome to become members the day of the sale to take advantage of the early sale hours. Public Works celebration and exhibition, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., at The Gateway Shoppes at Scarborough. Public works crews from Cape Elizabeth, Gorham, Portland, Scarborough, Standish, Westbrook, Windham, Yarmouth will be on hand to celebrate National Public Works Week.
