BRUNSWICK — A 44-year-old Bath man was taken to Mid Coast Hospital on Tuesday afternoon after his motorcycle collided with a car on Maine Street just after 2 p.m.
Curt Hagenbuch, 44, of 88 Union St., Bath, was headed south in the right-hand traveling lane on Maine Street near Mason Street when traffic slowed and he merged into the left-hand turn lane, causing his motorcycle to collide with a 2004 Chevrolet driven by 78-year-old Glenna Brewer of Pejepscot Terrace in Brunswick.
Hagenbuch was taken to Mid Coast Hospital with complaints of leg pain, Deputy Chief Marc Hagan of the Brunswick Police Department said today.
Hagenbuch’s condition was unavailable at press time. Brewer was uninjured.
Southbound traffic from Topsham was slowed by the crash, and compounded by a large truck attempting to turn onto Maine Street from Mill Street, Hagan said, so Topsham police were asked to stop traffic from driving across the Frank J. Wood Bridge into Brunswick for about 10 minutes.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
