BUCKFIELD — Unbeaten Richmond High School banged out 17 hits en route to a 14-1 East-West Conference softball win over Buckfield on Tuesday.
Richmond scored four runs each in the first two innings to pull away and improve to 9- 0. The Bobcats are scheduled to host Valley on Thursday.
Danica Hurley paced Richmond with two singles and a triple, Bri Snedeker had three singles, Lindsy Hoopingarner two singles and two RBIs, Leandra Martin two singles, Lindsey Warner two singles, a double and two RBIs, and Ciarra Lancaster a double,
Martin went the distance and scattered six hits with eight strikeouts and two walks.
