LINCOLNVILLE — Camp Tanglewood will host a YWCA camp reunion from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 16.
Tanglewood was a YWCA camp from 1939 to 1972.
“All former YWCA campers, staff and counselors are invited to come share memorabilia, walk down the familiar rooted paths and eat in the dining hall,” a Camp Tanglewood release states.
This event is in recognition of Tanglewood 4-H Camp and Learning Center’s 30th anniversary and Tanglewood’s 75th year as a facility. A second, public event to celebrate these milestones is scheduled for Aug. 25.
Anyone interested in participating in the camp reunion and/or becoming a YWCA Camp Tanglewood alumnae member is encouraged to call 789-5868 or sign up online at www.umext.maine.edu/forms/tanglewood/alumni.htm.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
