RICHMOND — Richmond voters can expect to see five candidates on the June 12 municipal ballot for two seats on the Board of Selectmen.
Both terms are for three years. The terms of current Selectman Clarence Cummins and Selectwoman Jennifer Greenleaf will expire June 12.
Cummins seeks re-election and submitted nomination papers by Monday’s deadline, according to deputy clerk James Valley. Also on the ballot will be Pauline Beasley, Frederic Browne, David Guilmette and Gary Poulin.
The top two vote getters will win seats on the five-person board.
In other municipal contests, incumbent Robert Bodge Jr. faces a challenge from Thomas Webster for a three-year term on the Richmond Utilities District board of trustees. Bodge’s term expires June 30.
Two three-year terms are available on the Budget Committee, but only Kimberly Valerk-Molnar returned papers to have her name on the ballot as a candidate for one of the seats. Jane Alexander’s term expires in June, and there is a vacancy on the committee.
A one-year term on the Regional School Unit 2 board of directors is shaping up to be a two-way race between Jay Brown and Lori Umberhind, who each returned nomination papers. Carrie Long’s one-year term on the school board expires in June.
