TOPSHAM — The Mt. Ararat Middle School seventh grade softball tean beat Oak Hill, 13-1, recently.
Alana Weaver pitched for Mt. Ararat and stuck out 11 and walked one, with no hits allowed
Oak Hill scored its run in the fourth inning.
Mt Ararat scored seven runs in the second inning and six in the third inning.
For the Eagles, Kieley Hetherington was 2-for-3 with a double and Kate Guerin 2-for- 3 with a double. Katelyn Cox and Kristen Graffam each picked up three hits, while Mikaila Cloutier was 2-for-2 with a grand slam home run. Others with hits were Caitlin Dailey, Rhiannon Hersey and Samantha Gonyea.
Other extra base hits for Mt. Ararat were Olivia Merryman with a double and Dailey with a double.
Taylor Rioux pitched well for Oak Hill, and Kiara Simmonds did very well behind the plate.
