BATH — Cahill’s Tire defeated Wilson’s in opening day Bath Cal Ripken baseball action, 6-1.
Nicco Bartone and Brogan Shaw pitched for Cahill’s, with Bartone striking out 10 in four innings of work and Shaw adding three more in the final two innings.
Wade Bradford and Bartone led the offense with a single apiece.
Ethan Testa led Wilson’s offense with a double, and Ken Bassett, Matt Beard and Connor McNish added a single each. Testa also struck out seven in four innings of work. Sam Sinibaldi was a defensive standout behind the plate for Wilson’s, along with Karl Shumaker for Cahill’s.
