WESTBROOK – Westbrook police are still searching for the man that is suspected of robbing a Spring Street convenience store on Sunday.
According to police, at about 4:15 p.m., a man went into Art’s Variety on Spring Street and demanded money from the clerk. The man said that he had a gun, but, police said, he did not show the weapon during the incident. No one was injured and police said the man left the store on foot. Police did not say if the suspect escaped with any money.
On Tuesday afternoon, Westbrook Police Capt. Tom Roth said that no arrests had been made in the case and added that the robbery is still under investigation.
According to police, the suspect in the robbery is between 5 feet, 10 inches and 6 feet tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a black winter jacket, a black ski mask and possibly a camouflage shirt.
The police are asking for the public’s help in this case. Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to call the Westbrook Police at 854-0644.
Police are still looking for the man that they say robbed Art’s Variety on Spring Street on April 22.
