BRUNSWICK — An AARP Safe Driver Class will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 10 at Thornton Oaks Retirement Community, 25 Thornton Way.
The classroom course covers safe driving techniques. All participants will receive a completion certificate.
This program is designed for drivers older than 50 years old. For those older than 55, Maine state law requires that insurance companies provide a suitable discount for those who complete the course.
Advance registration is required. To sign up, call instructor Joe Hahn at 751- 9364. Cost for the course is $14; members of AARP pay $12. Pay at the class with cash or a check made out to AARP.
