BATH — The Bath Area Family YMCA’s spring session starts this week.
In addition to new classes and programs, the Y will host Healthy Kids Day from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday. The event, which is open to all, will include “presentations designed to promote healthy lifestyles for children and their families,” a release from the YMCA states.
The organization’s annual Outdoor Sports, Bike and Boat Sale runs from 9 a.m. to noon Sunday. All proceeds benefit the Y’s scholarship fund.
Donors can drop off items for the sale between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Friday or between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday.
Registration is now under way for the fifth annual Y-Tri Sprint Triathlon, Relay/Family Relay, Aqua-Bike, Duathlon, and Teen Tri, which will take place on June 3. May 21 is the deadline to sign up. Individuals interested in volunteering for the event can contact the fitness director at the Y.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
