Of course not, but our 10th annual Music in April was magical.
As practitioners know, magic requires preparation and commitment. Thus it was, on the eve of April 12, at Brunswick’s Knights of Columbus Hall where more than 200 guests and supporters of People Plus gathered.
The preparation, commitment and hard work of dozens and dozens of people sparkled for these guests, as well as by and for our community of supporters.
A deeply felt “Thank You” to our generous sponsors, guests and donors, the diligent event committee, the dedicated staff and volunteers, the talented restaurants and staff, the hardworking student “wait staff,” the very entertaining LamboLaw and The Longfellows and our engaging auctioneer, John Bottero.
This is the 10th anniversary of an event that has become known as “The” fundraising event in town, and one that brings in enough support to provide almost 15 percent of the operating budget for People Plus. The event brings together businesses, residents, students and supporters to eat, laugh and be merry while enjoying the wonderful music and food as well as engaging in fierce bidding wars for valuable auction items.
Thank you all, once again, for making this event magical, reflecting all that we are and all that we do.
Greg Shea is chair of the People Plus Board of Trustees.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
