LIMINGTON — The York County and Cumberland County Sheriff’s offices collaborated Friday on a license checkpoint on Route 25 in Limington, from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m.

The objective of the traffic safety enforcement operation was to identify those motor vehicle operators driving while their license is suspended or revoked.

Deputies, along with Cumberland County volunteers in policing services stopped 455 vehicles for a driver’s license check. Deputies discovered that five operators were driving while their license was suspended or revoked.

Patrick Bourgeios, 30, of Limington was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle after a habitual offender revocation and on a warrant charging failure to appear for operating a motor vehicle after suspension.

Leah Doyle, 26, of Hiram was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle after a habitual offender revocation.

Christopher Smith, 40, of Porter was arrested and charged with operating after suspension.

Shane Mudgett, 20, of Limington was summonsed for alleged operating after suspension and improper attachment of license plates.

Timothy Quimby, 43, of Cornish, was summonsed for operating after suspension.

A habitual offender is a person whose record, as maintained by the secretary of state, shows that he or she has accumulated three or more convictions or adjudications for distinct offenses within a five-year period, the sheriff’s office noted.
