BRUNSWICK — Beattie Chicks is excited to announce the addition of Annie Young to its flock of chicks.
According to a news release, Young is a certified regular and special education teacher, and a mother of three children. She has been actively involved at Woodside School: volunteering, substitute teaching, as well as running the Cub Club, a program for incoming kindergarten students.
Young will be sharing her enthusiasm for art, education and children during the You & Me classes at the Makery.
You & Me is a preschool art program that encourages children to explore art in a relaxed and free-spirited atmosphere. Beattie Chicks Makery teaches participants how to re-purpose items to create whimsical pieces of art.
You & Me is held every other Monday and Thursday morning from 9:30 to 11 a.m. The cost is $10 per child and $15 for two children.
You & Me is scheduled for the weeks of April 23, May 7 and May 21. It is a drop-in class, but calling ahead is appreciated.
Beattie Chicks Makery is located on the second floor of Mill Two at Fort Andross, just above the Flea Market. For more information and to register, contact annie@beattiechicks.com or call 729-5862.
