BRUNSWICK — Merrymeeting Adult Education, People Plus and the Healer Within Foundation will sponsor Tai Chi Easy Practice Leader training May 4, 5 and 6 at People Plus, 35 Union St.
“The training advances the teachings and practices that empower people to be healthy and whole,” a People Plus release states. “Research has shown the positive results of Tai Chi practice on balance, stress, sleep and health.”
The training is available to staff or volunteers who work in senior centers, community centers, churches, rehabilitation centers and hospitals.
The training is partly funded by the Healer Within Foundation, and the tuition for the two-hour training and materials is $95. For individuals on limited incomes there are waivers available.
