BATH — The 20th annual benefit dinner for the Patten Free Library is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. Tuesday at J.R. Maxwell’s, 122 Front St. Batharea celebrity waiters will serve the meal.
The dinner costs $38 per person ($24 and tips are tax deductible) with entree choices of New York sirloin steak, baked stuffed chicken, fried Maine shrimp, broiled haddock or vegetarian quiche. A cash bar will be available.
Reservation forms can be picked up at the library’s adult circulation desk and the Library Bookstore at 194 Front St. They can be downloaded at www.patten.lib.me.us.
The annual dinner’s third silent auction will feature items from local merchants, library staff members, corporators and trustees. For a preview of the auction items, please visit the Library Bookstore where they are currently on display in the storefront’s window.
In addition, raffle tickets for a Kindle Fire are on sale at the library’s adult circulation desk and the Library Bookstore for $10 per ticket or $25 for three. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the annual dinner. The name of the winner, who does not need to be present, will be drawn at 8 p.m.
