1. Scarborough: Won the Class A state indoor meet and has at least five top scorers returning from last year’s outdoor state meet team that finished second.
2. Bonny Eagle: The defending Class A state champion outdoors returns at least three strong scorers from its state meet squad.
3. Cheverus: Finished fourth at the Class A outdoor state meet last year, but returns three top scorers and its entire 3,200-meter relay squad.
4. Brunswick: Finished fourth at the indoor state meet and has so much talent in the sprints and distances, can not be discounted.
5. Greely: Finished a strong second ahead of the pack at the indoor Class B state track meet, and is led by distance standout Kirstin Sandreuter.
