TOPSHAM — Merrymeeting Adult Education’s Knitting Circle for Cause participants donated hats and mittens for use by students at Williams-Cone Elementary School.
The course is taught by art and knitting instructor, Elizabeth Sokoloff who plans to continue the Knitting Circle in the fall and who donated most of the materials and patterns. She plans to have students donate hats and mittens to an elementary school in the fall.
“The Knitting Circle for a Cause students have learned knitting skills, made new friends during the course and feel great to be able to donate their creations,” a Merrymeeting Adult Education release states.
