Season outlook: “We are very optimistic about this season,” Allen said. “Between the talented returning players, the athleticism of our incoming players, and the great attitudes everyone has shown this preseason, we think we can build off of last season’s finish and challenge for the playoffs.”

Last year’s result: Lost in Western Maine finals to Cheverus

Key returning players: The Blue Blazes are a young team, having graduated nearly a dozen seniors. Souza, a first-year coach, will be looking to seniors Joe Quinlan in center field and Mark Dvilinsky on the mound for leadership.

Key games this season: “We’re looking to go one game at a time,” Souza said. “One game is no more important than any other.”

Season outlook: “We graduated 11 seniors, but we expect to compete,” Souza said. “Everybody is looking up at those top three in Cheverus, Scarborough and Marshwood, but still hope to make the playoffs. And anything can happen once you get there.”

Season Outlook: “We graduated standout thrower Audrey Cobb last year,” White said. “So we are proud to welcome a number of new underclassmen this year, and we plan to focus on team-building a personal improvement.”

Season outlook: “We will be a young squad with only two seniors,” Makin said. “We lost our three singles players to graduation, but return the three kids above who earned their letter last year. We’re looking forward to improving and enjoying ourselves. This is a very positive and engaging group of gentlemen with a great sense of sportsmanship and team camaraderie.”

Season outlook: “As a first-year varsity coach, I am really looking forward to this season,” Bois said. “I have a great group of girls who are willing to work hard and who want to improve. I was pleased to see such high numbers for tryouts this spring, and am excited to have the opportunity to work with each of them. Even though this is a building year, the team has some promising returning players to contribute to the varsity ladder. I am hoping that with hard work and determination we can have a strong season.”

Season outlook: “We have improved immensely over this past off season and are looking to make a run towards the playoffs,” Plowmann said. “There is great senior leadership and good work ethic on this team.”
