BRUNSWICK — In addition to discussing proposed changes to the town’s weapons ordinance dealing with shooting ranges, the Brunswick Town Council conducted the following business Monday:

— Heard a report from Bowdoin College President Barry Mills.

— Heard a report from the Brunswick Downtown Association.

— Unanimously approved the Brunswick Police Department’s request to apply for a $2,000 2012 Seat Belt Enforcement Grant and for a $5,000 2012 Speed Enforcement Campaign Grant, both from the Bureau of Highway Safety.

— Announced the town’s annual Spring Clean Up, to be held April 24 through May 5.

— Unanimously approved an alcoholic beverage license application by Hung Alan Hoang, doing business as Lemongrass LLC, 212E Maine St.

— Unanimously approved a special amusement license application by Jennifer Lewis, doing business as Benchwarmers Sports Pub, 212 Maine St.

— Unanimously approved a zoning change at 10 Mason St. from residential to commercial to accommodate a new antiques shop planning to move in at that address.

— Unanimously approved a sellers of prepared food on public ways permit for outdoor seating and alcohol sales to AKI Japanese Cuisine, 94 Maine St.

— Unanimously approved four appointments to town boards and committees, including: reappointment of Reginald Elwell and Kurt Stinson to the town’s Conservation Commission; reappointment of John Donovan to the Trust Fund Advisory Committee; and appointment of Marilyn Dwyer to an unfilled seat on the Davis Fund Committee.

— Unanimously approved the minutes from meetings of March 19, 22, and 27.

— Unanimously approval of a quit claim deed.
